VLSI-GPT is built on top of OpenAI organization’s GPT models. Thanks to almost 2000+ pages of content being uploaded to our custom models every week (for training & fine-tuning), VLSI-GPT will always be better equipped to help you, compared to plain ChatGPT.
VLSI-GPT is free of cost to use for learning purposes.
The A.I model’s training data is contributed by supporting industry organizations, members, & users like you.
We’re also exploring capabilities & customizability factors of other open-source models for future use-cases.
What is VLSI-GPT?
VLSI-GPT is an Artificial Intelligence (A.I) model, powered by crowd sourced content. Just like ChatGPT, it is a Large Language Model (LLM), that is based on top of openai’s GPT infrastructure. VLSI-GPT is interfaced with custom logic and trained with custom data to make it more powerful and useful, with specific focus on learning aspects of VLSI Industry.
VLSI-GPT is a not-for-profit initiative by IISEED.
Why VLSI-GPT?
A.I is helping software engineers & students to learn and implement at a rapid pace. We wanted to do the same for the VLSI eco-system.
A more powerful version of VLSI-GPT, called the VLSI-GPT_pro is integrated to IISEED’s ‘Industry-Programs” to enable a robust and fun learning experience.
What is the commercial aspects of VLSI-GPT?
VLSI-GPT is free of cost to use for everyone. There is a limit of 20 questions per user account, per day. In the future, we might increase this limit.
The free version of VLSI-GPT utilizes an older generation of A.I model.
As per industry & academia requirements, there might be a plan to publish the VLSI-GPT_pro model availability – which uses much more advanced and cutting-edge A.I models – with an optional payment for power users & professional use-cases.
This future pricing of the _pro model will be based on IISEED’s not-for-profit vision – hence, be assured that, it will be highly affordable. Note that, contributors will always get the attribution for their data contributions.
Currently, the commercial expenses (compute, software & engineering expenses) of VLSI-GPT are borne by the IISEED organization. If there are any future commercial sponsors of VLSI-GPT, same will be notified to users, contributors & all other stakeholders.
Why login is required to access VLSI-GPT?
VLSI-GPT is here to help us all. In order to stop spammers & to avoid any mis-use of our compute clusters, login is compulsory. Your “login data” & miscellaneous “personal data” used in this website is encrypted and stored as a SALT / HASH in a secure server. The backend logic reading this data is stored in a different secure server elsewhere. There is no means for anybody to mis-use any of your personal data.

VLSI-GPT is trained specifically for the VLSI Industry. You may ask technical & non-technical questions on Front-end & Back-end VLSI technologies. VLSI-GPT can give answers in many ways – description, code examples, code explanations, explanatory, etc., Be creative with your questions and VLSI-GPT can mirror your creative approach!

IISEED doesn’t keep track of user inputs / user code that you paste on the prompts. Hence, from the privacy & data security perspective, you’re all set. As a professional, you may use VLSI-GPT for everyday work use-cases, as it provides you better ways to implement and engineer solutions (compared to plain ChatGPT).
Please check with your manager & refer to your company policy on – do’s & don’ts of usage of VLSI-GPT (or) any other A.I tool, while in your organization’s office / network.

The free to use plan has a daily limit of 20 questions per user.
In the future, there might be other plans for advanced users looking for more access.
Note: The local database feature is enabled by default. This means, any other VLSIGPT user, using this same browser window, can view the previous questions & answers asked by previously logged-in users.
Also, a user can have only 1 active session at any given point in time.
